Lots of solitude as you traverse across broad fields dotted with sage and rabbit brush.
Sharp bend in the Upper Loop trail. Continuing west up the trail takes you up onto the Ballardini Ranch Spur
Beautiful views of the as you head up and west into the foothills of the Carson Range
Typical section of trail that is wide but rocky
The creek is rather small but the banks on either side are steep and can be muddy
