The trail can be exceedingly muddy, which unfortunately detracts from what could be great hike
A great view towards Le Morne Brabant from Piton Saint Denis
Summit in view along the trail.
Hikers use the ropes to help them descend the steep summit approach.
Excellent views south from the summit. The prominent rock surrounded by reefs is Le Morne Brabant, and UNESCO site with a tragic history.
