At the rim, there is a great view of Moab and the surrounding canyons.
Descending from the rim on snowy slickrock was tricky, but the views were certainly worth it.
The Juniper trees on the anticline have the most creative root systems
View from lower-down on the Portal Trail.
Although the surrounding terrain seems to all be from a similar rock, the colors are surprisingly varied.
Portions of the trail are formed by an interesting slab that forms a high-traction ramp.
