Views from the first gun battery overlooking the Pacific Ocean on a relatively clear day. Clouds roll through pretty often, so make sure you have a jacket for any rain storms that pop up.
A frog hangs out in the old gun battery. Be on the lookout for these guys, they can be found along the trail.
The 2nd gun battery was flooded after a couple days of rain.
There are a series of stairs that you have to climb along the World War 2 Heritage trail. These date back to the 1940s and allowed soldiers to traverse the ridge line.
Other batteries and fortifications are not as well preserved, but you can definitely tell where the batteries were. The forest has started to reclaim the area.
Ropes are strung along some of the steeper sections of the trail to assist with ascending and descending the mountainside.
