First of 2 shelters about a half mile off mile 6 of the Cane Creek Trail. Shelter no. 2 looks identical and is off to the right when walking down the side trail. Signs guide you to both shelters, #1 is on left at about (33.94213, -91.79592).

The levee section is quite exposed and monotonous but with a lot of wood ducks, coots, and other waterbirds along the lake.
The last of three suspension bridges on Cane Creek Trail. This one is located just before mile 8 and crosses Cane Creek.
