Nicollet's Inscription is a collection of 6 names that were chiseled into the rock by the first US Governement expedition to the quarries in 1838. They were led by Joseph Nicollet, who led the expedition.
Quartzite Cliffs
Lake Hiawatha is formed by Pipestone Creek. Animals can be seen getting water from here at different times throughout the day.
The trail meanders through tallgrass prairie, offering beautiful views.
