There are great views of the French Broad River from the end of the island.

The trail passes underneath the bridge as it follows the shoreline of the French Broad.
When you get to the island, there is a picnic table where you can enjoy a snack while others play along the river side.
The mountains and hillsides are lit up in the fall as the leaves change color.
