Bears frequent the ridge. Pronghorn carcasses can be seen off the trail. Remember to pack spray.

As with most trails, if you hike a couple of miles away from the parking lot, you get stunning views without all the people.
Pronghorns were not a rare sight on the trail.
You'll see lots of animals on this trail in the summer. Here, a female pronghorn and her fawn watch us as we hike through the area.
