Starting in the treed hillside just south and above the Deer Crest neighborhood guard house area (near Snow Top Road), the Upper Village Trail crosses and then follows Deer Crest Estate Drive briefly. Rock cairns mark where the trail leaves the road and descends through scrubby trees towards the Mountaineer Express chairlift. Gentle switchbacks wind through mature aspens before crossing the Deer Hollow ski run, rejoining the trees and finally ending at the base of the Mountaineer Express chairlift. Note: bikes are allowed on this trail.
