Runner Notes

This trail is quite rockier and steeper than the Loch Vale Trail, but dramatically less crowded. If you want to go far, and get away from crowds, this is a good shortcut.

Description

This trail is not officially marked, though it is a legal part of the trail system. It also isn't all that nice compared to the longer and incredibly scenic Loch Vale Trail that this shortcuts. It is however, dramatically less crowded and faster, so if you're wanting the fast route to the farther lakes and valleys, you might want to choose this.

Since neither end is marked, use the Trail Run Project mobile app to find the trail. It's wide and well-maintained, so once you find the start, you won't have any trouble. It's somewhat steep and rocky, with occasional views (especially in the lower part), but is otherwise unremarkable.
