Description

From the Grand Ditch Trail, this trail climbs steadily to Thunder Pass, a saddle between Lulu Mountain and Static Peak. The trail's grade increases as you progress into the box canyon away from the Grand Ditch Trail.

As you run, enjoy the beauty of the box canyon and keep an eye out for large mammals grazing in the meadows. Eventually, you'll emerge above tree line and find yourself on Thunder Pass. From here, the trail levels out before descending into Colorado State Forest and linking into the American Lakes Trail.
