Mountain View (USFS Trail #1032) starts at an intersection with Fish Creek Falls Trail on the west end of Long Lake. The route starts with a climb up loose switchbacks. It transitions into the forest before climbing again.

As the climb tops out, there are fantastic views across Rabbit Ears Pass. From here the trail traverses the south edge of the ridge, rolling through a few short climbs and descents. Near the end of the trail, you'll cross under the Morningside lift before reaching the intersection with Storm Peak Challenge.
