Sunshine Trail traverses Sunshine Bowl across the frontside of Mt Werner.

The trail can be used in either direction. Running south to north from the upper end of Duster provides a longer downhill section.

Start ascending from a junction with Pete's Wicked Trail and Duster. The grade is steep, but still manageable. You'll pass under Sunshine lift and then head straight up a ski run.

The trail then turns back to the left and continues climbing. Stop to catch your breath and you'll be able to take in the fantastic views of the ski area from top to bottom.

After Cathy's Cutoff you'll run up the final bit of the climb and then begin to descend. The grade is steady and passes through pockets of pine and aspen with open slopes in between. The trail utilizes some nice features, rolling over roots, and rocks in the trees but is otherwise smooth and flowing.

The opposite end of Sunshine connects to Chisholm Trail, one of the mountain service roads.
