Because hunting is allowed on this property and because folks were hunting on this property long before you got here to run today,
these trails are closed on Saturdays from the last Saturday of April through the last Saturday of May and again on Saturdays from the last Saturday of September through the second Saturday of December.
Description
The Kitchen Sink Loop is the big boy for this trail system. Over 3 miles of up and down, this trail rolls nicely through an old junkyard, house foundation, and Nikks Big Banana. When people run this, they might get to the bottom and say, "Man I cant wait to do this entire trail again!"
Kitchen Sink starts off of
Up & Out Loop. Hang a right and head up the side of the mountain. It looks horrible, but once you get to the top the trail is rolling all the way to the 3D climb. Climb that and youll be on your way to some really easy well-maintained trails. Be sure to enjoy the wildlife while youre up there. You'll encounter deer and squirrels, so make sure youre paying attention. Continue onwards and youll end up at the Old Access Road. From there, climb to the top of the Access Road, and make sure you play around on the old House Foundation.
After the foundation, youll hit some really easy trail until you get to the old junkyard. Watch your step; youre in an old junkyard. From here you'll have two more small, but lung busting climbs before you hit the final descent. Slog up those two and youre almost home-free. Once you're at the bottom, you'll meet up with the
Up & Out Loop. Run that back to the parking area!
