Runner Notes

Watch out for canyon rims and cows.

Description

From the trailhead, descend on the canyon rim and through the sagebrush and pinon pines. Your views straight ahead are of the La Sal Mountains. To the left (northeast) you'll see Monitor and Merrimac, two mesa's that look like battleships. The trail crosses a few 4WD roads before ending at a junction with Getaway Trail and Arths Trail, and Great Escape Trail.

Flora & Fauna

You will catch a few jack rabbits hopping along through the desert flora.

Holy mother of awesome. Incredible downhill single track on the edge of the canyon. Great run.
