Runner Notes
Steep, rocky rutted! This trail leaves the Beaver Creek Resort boundary and is not maintained or patroled by Beaver Creek.
Description
Paulie's Plunge starts from a red box next to a bend about half way up the
Cinch Trail. Begin by descending steeply down rocky drops and over roots through a stunning aspen forest valley. The trail surface smoothes out a bit, but there will still be sections with very tough footing.
After a while, the trail stops descending quite so fast and crosses beautiful
Stone Creek using a skinny bridge. Then run more of the same, paralleling the creek through a rocky gully with partially cleared pine forests and aspens. The bottom is much less steep as it contours a hillside instead of careening straight down. The trail ends at a junction with the
Eagle Vail Trail which you can use (go to the left/west) to reach town or take the
Eagle Vail Trail briefly (right/east) to reach Eagle Drive. Bikes are allowed on the Paulie's Plunge Trail.
