Dogs Off-leash
Overview
Johnny Behind the Rocks (JBR) is the best three-season trail system near Lander, WY. The JBR trails wind through pinion pines and junipers, and along draws and ridges with stunning views of the Wyoming Rockies. It's a great option for early and late season when the mountains are still too muddy.

Description
This short loop heads up
Johnny Draw Trail, climbing good singletrack for a mile to a big open saddle, then winding down and up through sandstone and junipers for another mile to the intersection of 3 trails and a doubletrack.
Turn left at the intersection and descend a fast, occasionally sandy, 0.5 mile section to another intersection.
Turn left again, ascending a short sandy singletrack gut buster for 250 yards to another doubletrack intersection. Turn right on
Red Ridge Trail and continue climbing for 250 yards to gain the Red Ridge. Wind through junipers for half-mile to the gentle ridge summit. From here, the fun is non-stop as you descend a narrow ridgeline for 1.5 miles with beautiful 360 views all the way back to the parking lot.
History & Background
Johnny Draw Trail is the original trail at JBR. All other trail segments were built since 2000 by mountain bikers, for mountain bikers.
