Runner Notes

There is little shade along this path. It is great in the winter as one can get some mileage in while the higher elevations are snowed in. However, in the summer the exposure can be brutal.

Description

From the parking lot in the west part of the park follow the main or large trail through Bear Creek Park. The Bear Creek Regional Trail rolls through typical Front Range topography, allowing the connection of Fountain Creek and the trails in the foothills (Palmer Trail, Red Rock Canyon, High Drive, Section 16/Palmer Loop).

There are additional loops within Bear Creek Park to allow for more mileage or challenge. .
