Multi-use trail used by hikers, runners and horses.

Runner Notes

Fairly wide trail that is USED BY HORSES so there are hoof prints and rough ground, as well as a lot of muddy areas. If hiking, year-round is fine, but if running, I would avoid winter and spring. Summer and fall is best for trail runs on this trail.

Description

To get to the trail, you can park in the Equestrian Trailhead parking at 1838 PA Route 168. Then follow the Appaloosa Spur Trail. For a nice 10k follow Nichol Road to create a nice lollipop route. What's really nice is you can add to that route very easily by combining the multitude of other "better" trails in the area.
