Runner Notes
Be alert on all bridge crossing, they can be very slick when wet.
Description
Head up through the old growth forest along a low rise before the trail meanders down to a small bridge crossing. Take a left where the trail splits, following narrow singletrack onto a low rocky spine.
Moss covered ground, rock slabs, and the occasional glimpse of the pond provide plenty to look at. As the trail turns to the right it circles the west end of the pond on a earthen dam. There's a bench here to enjoy the pleasant setting before following the trail around this side of the pond to complete the loop.
Flora & Fauna
The pond is typically quite active with ducks, frogs, and dragonflies. Also, you may notice beaver activity at the north end of the pond.
