Trail is good for running, but they should watch for rocks and small shrubbery.

From the trailhead there are two options to take: either a 1 mi long trail labeled with a blue blazer, or a .5 mi trail labeled with red blazes. Both trails are wheelchair accessible which is a nice feature. The red trail is within the blue and both trails are loops, which start and finish at the same spot.

The remarkable Atsion Lake contours along the right of you during most of the walk, it is beautiful to look at. If you are interested in cooling down after your run there is a recreational area near the trail where you can swim in the lake, sunbathe on the sand, or rest and eat. There are picnic tables and bathrooms available for use.

This is an easy route and fun to do with pets, kids, or even a few friends before heading into the water for a quick cool down!

Various flora and fauna can be found during this run. Small critters such as frogs, rabbits, and birds are popular to see. Many plants can be discovered throughout this walk, through each season various flora grow, including pitcher plants, cranberry, inkberry, and winterberry holly.
