Runner Notes
USE WITH CAUTION. Mountain bikers use this trail almost exclusively in a clockwise direction (east to west). And being a very narrow trail there's not a lot of room, so keep your head up.
Description
Also called Cow Trail by locals and mountain bikers.
From the
Schabarum Trail fire road look for a singletrack on the right that drops down a series of smooth turns through brown grass-covered hills. Look way down the line and you can see the 1.7 mile trail dipping in and out of many wrinkles in the sun-drenched landscape. It's very isolated on this side of Turnbull, but always be on the lookout for mountain bikers as this is a popular route for them. The trail ends at a large staging area against some backyard fences. A steep fire road on the right,
Workman Ridge Trail, climbs up the distant hillsides.
(Near the end, a one-way trail, Worsham Canyon spur, splits steeply downhill to the left, toward the Whittier College football stadium in the distance. This will take you down to Philadelphia St, then the college and downtown.)
