Description
From the Trespass Creek trailhead, make your way up the draw, gaining a mellow pass. From here, take in the reaching views both east and west before dropping sharply down to Campfire Lake. A large enough lake and basin will disperse campers far from each other providing an excellent wilderness experience for all.
The terrain that Trespass Creek follows is home to a one long, major basin and a few small side basins. These are home to big game in the woods and meadows and fish in the creeks and streams. Whether you're out to just view or to try and catch you'll find plenty of wildlife on this side of the Crazies.
The Trespass Creek Trail also climbs the pass up to and over into the drainage containing the
Sweet Grass Trail which makes for an even more diverse set of flora and fauna to enjoy. The climb over the pass is of moderate difficulty so the beginning backpacker may wish to simply stay within the confines of Trespass Creek but perhaps not. You decide!
