Description
Access this trail from the
Douglas Springs Trail at the 2.5 m trail intersection. The trail can be overgrown and hard to see at times. Horseback riders have a hitching post up toward the trail end.
The short journey up the canyon is beautiful even when it's hot. The falls at the end make it worth the trip, as they're a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the shade and the water. There are pesky gnats, but they're looking for moisture and don't bite. These little guys are just part of the whole nature experience!
Flora & Fauna
Saguaros, barrel cactus, prickly pear as well as acatia bushes, mesquite and cottonwood trees are in abundance in the area. Reptiles from small lizards and snakes to bobcats and deer have been seen the area.
