Runner Notes

The ground is marshy and the trail muddy, but there is a nice boardwalk across some of the terrain. This is a great runner's trail - it has a short, steep pitch that is great to push yourself on.

Description

The trail is short, but it's steep and challenging enough to keep things interesting. The lake itself is a scenic little lake located on the northeastern slope of Mount Pilchuck that offers a perfect place to catch your breath.

Flora & Fauna

Vegetation becomes more interesting as you get further into the trail. There are large prickly leaves and bright red berries of devils club and fern understory.
