Description
Left Hand Trail can be used either direction to connect a large number of trails in the Boulder Valley Ranch network. Good, direct access from either the trailhead on Neva Road or Beech Trailhead off Highway 36 make it an efficient choice for those short on time.
Starting at the north end at the Neva trailhead, head through the gate just east of the parking lot. Run on flat ground about three-quarters of a mile southwest past a shelter. Left Hand Trail turns east after the shelter and travels a section of smooth trail next to Lefthand Reservoir.
There are a couple of rolling hills before you reach the third bridge in a little over a mile. After the bridge, ascend steeply up a short climb to a gate. After the gate, Left Hand travels due south through several more gates and ends at Boulder Valley Ranch trailhead and parking lot.
