A nice King Lake Trail offshoot, this trail is quieter AND has better lakes than King Lake...

Runner Notes

Great for a high alpine hill workout, this trail is completely above 11,000 feet.

Description

From King Lake Trail, this trail switchbacks quite steeply to the lake's basin. After the uphill push, this trail becomes quite easy. It first passes Betty Lake on its west flank, then continues slightly higher to the edge of Bob Lake.

The snowfield above Bob Lake is a popular backcountry skiing spot. Be sure to say "hi" to skiers as they get their turns in!
