North Trail - Middle Section

This trail is MUCH steeper on the western section. Decide if you like going up or down the steep section and choose your direction appropriately.

Start with exposed singletrack up lots of switchbacks. It's not that much vertical, but it's hot, exposed, and noisy due to the highway.

Once at the top of the climb, the trail goes through aspens along the top of a rock band and intersects with Buffehr Creek Trail. Continue left and start the descent. It is very steep with a few waterbars to step over.

Eventually you'll reach a nice creek, cross it, and continue a short way to an intersection with Buffehr Creek Connector, where you can either end your run or continue on to North Trail - Western Section (my favorite section of the North Trail).
