The trail passes through the characteristic terraced vineyards of the Cinque Terre, and in some points it is very narrow with no protection. The grapes are supported on pergolas anchored with wire at the edge of the trail, so watch your step.

Description

From the church square in Volastra, the route passes first through olive trees and then through terraced vineyards, with wide-open views of the sea, and also of Manarola, Corniglia and Punta Mesco, the promontory at the northwest end of the Cinque Terre. After the hamlet of Porciana, the trail enters a forest of pines and holm oak, then ends at the intersection with Trail N. 587.
