Description

Start from near where the south end of the Lower Afton Alps meets with the Parking Lot Connector. Head west from the circle down into the valley. The trail turns south once you get to the creek, and follows until after you pass the park entrance road.

The trail then loops around to the west and south before coming back down into the valley. Follow it east, where you head just south of where you were before. You'll be mostly in hardwoods, covering deeply cut valleys that open to small patches of prairie on either side. Eventually the trail approaches a farm field, and passes just to the north of it until turning north and crosses under the Park Entry Trail and park entry road again, and finally meets back up where you started.
