Description
From the trailhead, take the
Sleepy S Trail until it turns into the
Meadow View Trail. There will be a junction with the Bergen Peak Trail about a mile from where
Sleepy S Trail turns to Meadow View.
Take the left-hand turn and begin the climb to the top of Bergen Peak. Though technical and steep, the view at the peak of this trail is unbeatable, as there are 360-degree views of Squaw Peak, Three Sisters and all the way out to the plains.
Flora & Fauna
It isn't uncommon to see elk, deer and various hawks on this trail. Be aware during dawn/dusk hours that mountain lions have been sighted in the area.
