Description
From the trailhead in
Spring Hollow, the trail crosses a small bridge that spans one of the creeks coming from
Spring Hollow and then the true trail commences.
As it goes, it follows the river very closely and every so often there are benches and signs that talk about the natural history of the area, including the bird habitats and vegetation, etc. Sometimes the river grasses are very tall and the trees thick enough to block views of the canyon, but other times the views open up and you can see the mountains on the north side of Logan Canyon, and the views are great.
You also pass several rock outcroppings on the south side of the trail, each of which is pretty interesting if you stop to take a closer look at them. As the trail gets closer to the end, it goes up for a little bit before descending down into the parking lot at the Guinavah campground.
This route can also be done in reverse, starting at Guinavah and turning around at
Spring Hollow.
