Runner Notes
Not very long, but there are many places where you can branch off from the Tennessee
Valley Trail. The nearby
Coastal Trail is a great uphill run.
Description
From the trailhead, follow the trail all the way to the beach. The trail has very obvious signs, so getting lost would be difficult. Just follow the signs for the Tennessee
Valley Trail. It is very level and a great route for the whole family. Bring a picnic and eat at the beach on a nice day!
The Tennessee
Valley Trail is a pets prohibited area, however, the
Oakwood Meadow Trail just before reaching Tennessee Valley is open to leashed pets. This is a common misconception as the
Coastal Trail, which crosses over Tennessee Valley running north to south is also open to leashed pets, however Tennessee Valley, as a whole, is not.
