Runner Notes
Creek ford and the loose rocks are rather large and hard on the feet. Look out for horse concessionaire traffic.
Description
This trail is used almost exclusively by the horse concessionaires. The trail starts at the
Apikuni Falls trailhead on the south side of the road. It travels mostly through meadows where the great views are only interrupted by small stands of aspens. It then passes near the stable, then travels along a rough dirt road before crossing over the entrance road to the stables.
From here, it is a fairly wide and uneven trail that's very messy due to the frequent horse traffic. It enters the forest where it fords a feeder creek, then begins to climb up to the road that head towards the
Many Glacier Hotel. It does have a nice view of the falls on the way up.

Flora & Fauna
Meadow flowers are beautiful in early summer such as geraniums. Birding is great in the meadows, trees, and riparian areas. Moose, grizzly, and black bears frequent the area.
