There are no services along this trail. The nearest restrooms are at the Giant Forest Museum. Bring enough food and water for your time exploring the Giant Forest.

The Washington Tree Trail breaks off the Alta Trail and wanders through the Giant Forest. The trail departs the Alta Trail and within the first tenth of a mile, a small trail breaks off to the right and leads out to the Washington Tree Giant Sequoia. Depending on when you run this trail, you may see no one during the course of your run, allowing you to take in the beauty of the forest.

The trail continues gently climbing through the forest. The dirt, singletrack trail levels off after a third of a mile and wanders underneath the shade of the Giant Sequoias. The Bears Bathtub trail breaks off to the left after four tenths of a mile. After seven tenths of a mile, the Circle Meadows Loop Trail breaks off to the left and makes its way around a small meadow.

From here, the trail descends to the Giant Forest Loop Trail and the Huckleberry Trail. From here, you can retrace your steps back to the Alta Trail or break off to the right and follow the Huckleberry Trail back to the Alta Trail.

As with most of the Giant Forest, the Sequoia Tree is what you are here to see. In terms of wildlife, you may encounter deer and black bears on your run. A variety of birds can be seen in the bushes that line the trail.
