Description

This short spur trail to the Cougar Creek Patrol Cabin begins 1.5 miles north of Seven-Mile Bridge on the Gneiss Creek Trail. The Cougar Cabin Trail climbs gradually through open meadows for the first 1.5 miles, then drops through forests burned in 1988 to tiny Cougar Creek and an NPS patrol cabin. The trail is not often used and may be difficult to follow in the meadows.
