All runnable when you're feeling good; hiking parts when you're not.

Description

Bearing right at the beginning of Apex Trail, Pick N' Sledge offers a switch back filled route through trees. The trail has great views of Golden and greater Denver as you ascend, but those views disappear quickly as you get deeper into the park. If headed clockwise through the park, you may get to enjoy this as a very quick downhill section. Overall, it's a great section; it is a bit rocky, but nothing an experienced runner would see as an obstacle.
