Rocky terrain consistent with much of the front range trails, though less rocky than most.

Make this loop part of a larger tour through Apex Park. If traveling counterclockwise, this route provides some easy traveling through open spaces and few forested areas. Once you turn left and head back south, you'll climb up a series of switch backs that are just moderate enough for enjoyable running or hiking for those who choose. This loop intersects with Pick N' Sledge (left at junction if traveling clockwise) and Slucebox (right); pick your route ahead of time to avoid any surprises.
