Runner Notes

Like most Adirondack trails, expect exposed rocky sections, and board bridges traversing especially muddy trail.

Description

The ascent to Lower Wolfjaw via WA White Trail is moderately short, but not especially sweet. The trail winds through the scenic forest of the Adirondacks, which at this elevation should be turning into pine forests.

Watch you footing, as the granite knob of Lower Wolfjaw begins to poke through on this portion of trail in the form of exposed boulders and rocks. Especially in wet weather, the trail tends to get muddy, so remember your LNT principles and try not to widen the existing path.

Like all trails in this area, round blazes will mark your way, so keep an eye out for them!
