Dogs are allowed on leash in the Ansel Adams Wilderness, but not once across the border into Yosemite National Park (at Parker Pass). Permits are required for all overnight trips, whether from Inyo National Forest or Yosemite National Park. Search Recreation.gov for more information.

Description

This trail connects Rush Creek Trail in the Ansel Adams Wilderness with the Mono Pass Trail in Yosemite National Park. It begins at Gem Lake in the south, goes over Gem Pass, down to Alger Lakes, up to Koip Peak Pass, then down to Parker Pass and finally connects to Mono Pass. over South of Parker Pass, this trail is alternatively called Alger Lakes Trail or Gem Pass Trail.
