Description

Like the remaining segments of the Ice Age Trail through Kettle Moraine-Northern Unit, this is an essential trail for running. This trail offers many rolling hills across numerous glacial moraines, with many surrounding kettles, which are mostly wetlands in this segment. Most of the trail is singletrack although there are some more wide open sections. The forest can be quite dense at times, but often the trail opens up to gorgeous prairies with native plant species, which include wildflower blooms in the summer that are quite photogenic.
