Description

The trailhead starts off a short spur road from Ross Maxwell Scenic Drive. The trail is well marked at the trailhead, and takes a short route into the desert with views of Santa Elena Canyon to the south. It then follows the dry stream bed with a variety of blooming flora and fauna, even in the middle of the summer. Following the stream bed leads the trail to the pour off, with steep canyon walls and the possibility of a waterfall if it has been raining recently. The fall is often dry in the later summer months, but catching the pour off when it's running is a real treat.

This is an easy trail ending at a very pretty area to stop and have a nice picnic and do a little boulder scrambling once at the pour off.
