Kroger Wetlands Loop Trail

Starting to the right of the informational kiosk, this mostly grassy or mulched trail circles a protected wetland located conveniently behind Kroger Grocery Store off of Pike Street.

Educational signage throughout the trail describes the importance of the many native plants, animals, and wildflowers, and there are plenty of viewpoint opportunities for photography or viewing the wetland wildlife.

Halfway through the loop, the linear Drayer Spur Trail branches off and can be added to make the whole round trip about a mile long, or it can be used as a connector to the North Hills Trail Eastern Portion. The trail is also easily accessible from the eastern-most part of the River Trail.
