Description

The trail is useful for connecting the AT Appalachian Trail with other trails in Caledonia State Park and the Flat Rock area of Michaux State Forest and making possible a number of loop options. From the Locust Gap Trail, it proceeds Northwest into the gorge of Hosack Run through a dense rhododendron thicket, before bearing to the southwest and ascending to the AT Appalachian Trail.
