Description
The aptly named Mountain Vista Trail offers visitors a wonderful opportunity to get out of the car and stretch their legs along an easy loop through boreal forests.
From the rest area, follow the picnic area path to the far side to pick up the trail. Along the way, be sure to stop and admire the sheer beauty of the Alaska Range as it provides a lovely backdrop to the untouched alpine tundra below.
The views along this trail provide visitors with a fantastic opportunity to view wildlife in the distance, so be sure to bring binoculars and/or a telephoto camera lens if you have one.
