Description
Twin Creek Trail runs through the heart of rugged Idaho Back Country.
At the upper end of the trail, where it leaves the
Divide Trail #106 (North Section), it is very steep. Then it follows a long sidehill section where deadfall is common. The local Mtn bike assoc. tries hard to keep up with cutting out the falling trees, but be prepared and bring your own saw to help them.
Twin Creek Trail leaves the sidehill and then follows Twin Creek closer to the bottom of the canyon. Here you can find old cabin ruins and a couple of challenging stream crossings (especially early in the summer).
The eastern end of the trail has a challenging rock/chunk section making this trail a tough out-and-back if ridden from the campground. Most people prefer shuttling from the
Divide Trail #106 (North Section).
