Runner Notes

Old railroad ties built into the trail make it challenging in spots. On some of the lesser used sections, there are moss-covered rocks that can be slippery.

Description

The Nimbus Knob Trail, recently rerouted by Washington Trails Association volunteers, takes visitors to a lovely view of Spokane and the entire Spokane Valley.

There is a bit of climbing, but it's a mild grade and quite pleasant. This trail also moves south through the Lost Pond area. This pond is dry much of the year, with the exception of spring/early summer but still a great place for wildlife viewing.

The trail also connects with many of the other loop trails in the Natural Area.
