Description
From the small parking area, start at the small stream crossing at the trailhead. Work your way up enjoying the old growth forest around you. As you climb higher, there will be a viewpoint around the first switchback. This offers a pleasant view of the valley below.
At just under two miles in, you'll come upon an old jeep road, which will take you towards Caribou Ridge Trail. To stay on Trail 257, continue by taking a left on the jeep road for approximately 10 feet. You'll then see Trail 257, singletrack, continue on your right. This trail ends at FS Road 439 and connects with other area trails.
Flora & Fauna
This area is known to have Moose. Remember, they are beautiful, but keep your distance.
