Please park in the marked parking lot provided. Do not continue on the road past the parking lot in order to be closer to the trailhead. This is private property.

Description

From the parking lot, continue north on the road on foot to get to the well-marked trailhead. Follow the old jeep road for approximately .25 miles where the trail will turn into singletrack in the natural area.

The trail will zig in and around some steeper jeep roads.These old jeep roads are remnants of the old trail that used to go straight up, instead of the switchbacks that are now used to make the trail more passable.

At around .9 miles, you'll get to the base of Big Rock. In the summer, you'll see plenty of rock climbers around the rock. From here, you'll notice a faint climber's trail that goes along the west side of Big Rock.

Continue on the singletrack going right, west, from Big Rock. This will take you past Rookie Wall and switchback to join you with the Iller Creek trail system.
