Jarosa Mesa has embedded rocks so be careful. The San Juan Solstice follows Segment 22 from Carson Saddle east for roughly 10 miles. The trail is typically only accessible from late-June through September or October due to the elevation.

Description

Segment 22 of the Colorado Trail (CT) is a 17.6-mile segment that stretches from Spring Creek Pass on the eastern side to Carson Saddle to the west. The trail encompasses Jarosa Mesa and the highest point on the entire Colorado Trail (13,271) near Coney Summit.
